How to live in the ZONE most of your life

The ZONE, that state that we all want to live in. It’s not something mystical or magical, but there is so much magic about it.








Flow

The state of FLOW as scientists and psychologists describe it to be the state at which the human can be at his best.






It’s the state at which you can be so challenged to the degree you are not feeling bored nor feared/stressed.

The state you feel happy that you are making something that you enjoy and love doing.

We are distracting our minds

The problem is that we live most of our lives outside that ZONE. On the contrary, we live on the state of stress and fear. And others live in boredom, laziness and helplessness.

We only trade times. Many others only surf the internet or checking others status updates. We don’t feel like we are doing something useful anymore.

That’s why people who live in the ZONE are the ones who are living happy and fulfilled life.
Then how can you make this too?


How can you live in the state at which you say you have found your zone?
To live in that ZONE most of your life you need to live it most of your day.







That means you need to be able to do what you live and to make useful output from that what you love to do.

Staying in the ZONE is not easy

It doesn’t mean it must be easy. It could be hard, painful or even tiring. But at the end of the day you know that you’ve done something significant.

As the time passes, weeks and months have better meaning for you. You feel that you are not trading time any more.

Think about it. When you stay waiting for someone on the street or just being bored of waiting for your turn in the mall, you start to feel irritated or just play with your smartphone.

We tend to distract out minds to take them from what significant to us.

Because what is significant to us is hard to be done regularly. We only what others tell us to do. 

You may finish a report your boss told you to deliver it to him in only three hours if you have to. 

But you may postpone writing some chapters of your book you WANT to write.

Stop time trading. Stop procrastination. Stop doing things to distract your mind form your main mission. Find your true goal and go for it.

Go to the ZONE and try to stay there even if it’s hard to stay there for so long.








Stay out of distractions and time stealers
There will be many people and things want to distract you and get you out of this state. That’s because they don’t want to be left alone in their misery.

They just don’t want to be left behind. And those people who live in the ZONE sure have left those living in continuous misery and distraction.

Where is your ZONE?

My zone is here. I find my ZONE in creating, reading, writing or playing useful things. I find my ZONE in challenging myself to do something new.


I remember me as a teenager, I used to challenge myself to do something that make my mind unrested. I have been living as an introvert and I didn’t talk to people much.

I challenged my mind to meet new people and to talk to them even if I didn’t know them yet. This may have cause me some troubles and sometimes it made me look like an idiot.

But when I finish it I feel happy because I took the challenge. I feel the achievement of taking this leap of faith.







I just told myself, what’s the worst thing that could happen? Then go for it. And I take new challenges and new opportunities are open for me.

Elon Musk and the ZONE

When I started to read about Elon Musk in the famous book describing his life, I find him living most of his time in that state.

He is nearly living most of his day and consequently most of his life since he was a child in that same ZONE.

Even if he is living a hard life. A life that I heard him saying he doesn’t recommend anyone to live as he is. 

Maybe it’s hard for him. But it’s rewarding and fulfilling.

For him, not living this kind of life is where the pain and suffering come from.

 

Find your state and live in it most of the time
Some or many people may say: “But I have to word. I have to pay the bills and take care of my children.”

That’s right. You need to work and to take care of your children and to do anything that can get you out of the ZONE. But if you cannot stay at the ZONE for most of your life then don’t just drop it altogether.

If you keep logging your time of day you can find that you have many times spent in things that neither are important nor joyful.

You may feel that you need time to do what you love beside what you already have to do while you are wasting so much time.

The key to this is that you need to find your state and decide to spend even half an hour a day in it.
That will make your neuro-association with this state as the time passes.

This will bond passage of the day with the urge of feeling to live in that ZONE.

Just as you go to work every day automatically. You will have that urge to go to your state and stay there for a while.

As your mind creates this association, you become better at it and it becomes part pf your personality.


Addicted to the ZONE

Then you can notice going to this state is easier than before. And staying there is more joyful. As you find more challenges for yourself and as you feel that you can deal with them, the better you feel and the more you bond your mind with this activity.

You will literally get addicted to something useful. Have you heard about people who are addicted to work, addicted to read or addicted to read?

Have you met those people who are addicted to helping others?

Go and find yourself something useful that gets your life to the fulfilment.

Aren't we all looking for happiness in our lives?

How to get into the state of flow and optimal experience.



The writer, Psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi takes you into the trip of seeking happiness of human through every kind of daily experiences.

I must deny it, after reading that book my mind couldn't still be the same at all.

You will have the ability to enjoy yourself at every single step of your life


The writer gives you the way you can find flow in either big experiences like rock climbing, wave surfing or in small ordinary daily activities like watching sunset or playing with your kids.


After reading that book your mind will never be the same anymore


The flow is the state at which mind can be at its best state. It's the state at which the one is so engaged so that he is so involved that he only think of the thing he is doing and not in his problems and all his daily stresses.




After you read that book, you can truly find flow in stuff like reading, writing, walking, running, swimming or whatever you are doing.

Even you can find flow in your job.

The book also deals with people who may be suffering from their problems and those who could use the state of flow to overcome those problems and painful experiences.

How you can turn a boring event or meeting into an interesting time that you feel like you are enjoying every moment of it?

The book is published at 1990 but deals with problems that still touches our daily lives with only small differences. Especially those have to do with technological effects on our lives and attention.

The writer experience in Muslim world


In the book, the writer mentions some words he has heard them from many workers and professionals in Muslim countries.

He mentions that when he asked those people about how they could handle stresses at their daily lives he had always heard the same answer:

"We feel that our lives is guided and controlled by Allah so we never feel stress or fear."

I admit that I could find my mind's state of flow through writing books and blogs. But after reading that book, I could really find that state of mind in every aspect of daily life.

اترك الواقع لتنجح Escape Reality to succeed

هل تريد حقاً السعادة والشعور بالراحة النفسية والرضا والنجاح؟






هو الحالة التي يركز فيها الإنسان بشدة علي ما يفعله لدرجة أنه لايشعر أثناء هذه الحالة بالوقت أو الإرهاق أوالجوع

كما أنه ينسى مشاكله وارتباطاته

هل شعرت هذا الشعور من قبل أثناء فعل شئ تحبه؟

يقول عالم النفس الإيجابي ميهالي ينتهيمالي – وهو أول من أطلق مصطلح التدفق على تلك الحالة -  أن العقل البشري له قدرة على استيعاب المعلومات التي يعالجها وبالتالي فإن حالة التدفق تؤدي إلى استغراق الذهن في الشئ الذي يفعله الإنسان فبالتالي لا يركز على أي شئ آخر حتى الألم أو الحزن أو المشكلات . وبالتالي فكأن حالة الإستغراق تلك تؤدي بك إلى الخروج الجزئي عن الوعي. أي أنك تترك الواقع بكل مشكلاته وآلامه لتعيش في أحلامك وما تحب فعله في هذا العالم





فبدونهم لكان هذا العالم مملا ً رتيبا ً . تخيل عالما ً مغرقا ً في الواقعية . كل أفراده يتحلون بالمنطق والسير على نهج السابقين ومواجهة جميع أشكال التغيير. هل تتوقع في مثل هذا العالم أن يتم اختراع شئ كالطائرة أو الهاتف المحمول أو أي اختراع أصلا ً؟

هل تتوقع حدوث أي تغيير في عالم من الموظفين المخلصين؟

هل تتوقع أن يحدث أي تغيير في نظام حكم أي بلد مع هؤلاء المنطقيين؟

الإنسان العادي يقضي وقته في أداء مهامه اليومية المفروضة عليه. أما المبادرين أو الحالمين فيخرجون من دائرة هذه الرتابة والروتينية ليقضوا أسعد أوقات حياتهم فيما يحبون فيبدعون ويقوموا بإثراء حياة باقي البشر بما يضيفوه لها

الإنسان العادي حتى وإن فعل شيئا ً يرغبه بإرادته فإنه لايفعل سوى الأشياء البسيطة التي لاتنطوى على أدني قدر من الصعوبة أوالخروج من المنطقة الدافئة كمشاهدة التلفاز أو كقراءة الصحف

اخرج خارج منطقتك الدافئة وافعل ما تحبه وتجد فيه نفسك حتى وإن كان صعبا ً فستجد أنك أكثر نجاحا ً وسعادة وتركيزا ً
