I've read about the pomodoro technique. It was invented by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s.

The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. These intervals are named pomodoros, the plural in English of the Italian word pomodoro (tomato), after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student.

Plot

The book is written by a journalist who has been specialized in science news.

He has been writing about the US Memory Championship and the World Memory Championship.

He has been amazed by the contestants abilities that seed super human to him as he first saw them in from of his eyes.

Those contestants who could memorize hundred of playing cards in a matter of half an hour.

Long raws of digital binary number could be memorized in less than an hour.

And many other examples that seemed to be freaking talents that those humans has been born possessing them in their minds.

After asking those contestants how they could do their magic their answer was astonishing for him.

Their answer was simply that they has been for long time as normal as all the other people on the planet and that they used to forget where the had put their key chain - just as the writer did - but they only have been acquiring those skills during hard and long training periods of time.

The writer has asked them to tell him how he could train his brain to have the same memorizing abilities as they are.

They have felt that he was excited and so serious about it and they told him all of their secret recipes.

The writer has been training for a whole year and has ended up participating in The US Memory Championship.

For his surprise, he has won the championship. He has proven by an indefinite evident that with committed training of mind you can remember anything you want.

Skills And Memory Facts

The writer had mentioned Tony Buzan and his contributions to the Memory Championship. Tony has been writing books and giving courses and lectures about memorization techniques. He has been always saying that the brain is just like a muscle that you need to continuously keep training so you can keep it in shape.

You must use your own natural memory to keep it from the feeling of forgetfulness.


The writer has been comprehensively explaining the art of memorizing and the ancient techniques of memory enhancement.

The Memory Palace

The major memory technique is The Memory Palace which states that for remembering anything you need to associate this thing to a visual picture of a certain place you know.

He gave some examples from his life like a To-Do or shopping list.

You can remember all their items by associating these items with places of your home.

The Memory Palace technique is an ancient memorization technique that The Romans has mastered to remember their books and their creations before the written language has been widely used.


Actually this technique may look simple or familiar to many of us but it is the key to all other techniques.

At the end, you can be 100% sure that if you regularly spend enough time to train your brain to memorize stuff, your memory can be enhanced to a level that you have never thought possible.

Though some of the memorization applications in The Memory Championship may not be useful in daily life - something like remembering 300 playing cards or 3000 binary digits - but you can get the useful concept of the book as I did by starting to use your memory as a training technique. This training will change the way you remember things. This is also mentioned in the book from the point of view of Neuroplasticity.

A branch of the Neuroscience that studies how our brains change at different stages of our lives.

This is a good book to read indeed.

الإنسان بين عقل القرد ومخ النملة

قد يبدو هذا العنوان تهكمياً ولكنه ليس بالفعل كذلك

قرأت اليوم مقالة عن عقل القرد وكيف أن الإنسان في العصر الحديث يتحرك عقله كالقرد الذي يقفز من شجرة إلى أخرى ثم إلى مكان عالٍ ثم بسرعة إلى مكان منخفض

فعقل الإنسان مع التقدم العلمى ووسائل الإتصال الحديثة وكمية المعلومات المفيدة والتافهة منها لا يسعه إلا أن يتشتت في خضم هذه الوسائل وهذا السيل الجارف من المعلومات بحيث لا يستطيع التركيز على شئ واحد أو مهمة معينة مفيدة

وتنبه المقالة أن هذه الحقيقة المفزعة يجب أن تكون واضحة بالنسبة إلينا جميعاً ، حيث إن ضياع الأوقات وتشتت الذهن في المجالات المختلفة هو ضياع فعلي لحياة الإنسان وعمره الذي لا يستطيع فعلياً تعويضه بأي حالٍ من الأحوال

وما فكرت فيه اليوم هو مدى صحة هذه المقالة وعمق ما تحتويه من حقيقة مفزعة لنا جميعاً 

وتذكرتُ مقالة قرأتُها من قبل أن الإنسان لا ولن يستطيع التركيز الشديد على شئ واحد فقط ومهمة محدودة طوال حياته ، فهو ليس نملة 

أي أن الإنسان لديه من المهمات والإهتمامات المتعددة ما يجعله قادر على التكيف والمواكبة المواقف الإجتماعية والحياتية المختلفة

فكما تقول المقالة : " لن تستطيع أن تركز على شئ واحد فقط طوال حياتك فأنت لست نملة "

فالإنسان لديه من المهارات والمواهب المتعددة ما يؤهله للقيام  بالعديد من الوظائف والمهام

وأيضاً بالنسبة للميول والشغف هناك العديد من البشر لديهم الكثير من الميول المختلفة والتي يستطيعون التفوق فيها جميعاً

فهناك الكثير من الأشخاص في التاريخ الماضي والمعاصر من له مهارات رياضية وعملية وفنية

والأشخاص ذوي التعليم ذو الطبيعة المهنية أو التقنية والتي قد يُعتقد أنهم بعيدون كل البعد عن الجوانب الأدبية أو الفنية قد يكون لهم مثل هذه المواهب كالكتابة والرسم والشعر

يخبرك هذا الكورس أن المهارات والدراسات والوظائف المختلفة التي قد تكون درستها في حياتك

حتى وإن لم تكن ذات علاقة أو صلة مباشرة بما تفعله أو تدرسه أو وظيفتك الحالية فليس معنى ذلك أن هذا الماضي قد تم إهداره أو أن هذا الوقت قد ضاع من حياتك

واستنتاجي المتواضع حول هذه النقطة اليوم هو أن الإنسان بحاجة ماسة للتركيز على ما يفعله أو ما يقرأه وخاصة في هذه الأيام التي تكثر فيها وسائل تشتيت الإنتباه والتركيز بحيث أن هذه الوسائل للمعلومات أصبحت هي نفسها وسائل التشتيت والإلهاء

وهذا التركيز الشديد ينبغي أن يكون في الفترة المحددة التي يمارس فيها هذا الشخص المهمة المحددة كالقراءة في مقالة معينة أو إكمال كتاب معين


حتى إذا أنهى الإنسان هذا الكتاب أو هذه المقالة فإنه يستطيع أن يبدأ في كتب أو نقالة أخرى أو أن يوجه اهتماماته كيفما شاء طالما استطاع التركيز أو التحكم في عقله وطريقة توجيهه بأسلوب بناء


وبالطبع فإنني تبعاً لنصيحتي لنفسي أولاً فإنني لن أبدأ في قراءة الكتاب قبل أن أنتهي من الكورس أولاً

Finally I made it. I've always wanted to make a solar powered phone charger. I'm really obsessed with renewable energy and feel that they are the real future of energy for the humanity.

So I wanted to try to make this solar powered phone charger with the minimalist components and steps.

It's not rocket science. I actually had the idea when I saw it on instructables.

The idea is very simple. You need a solar panel that converts Sunlight intoElectricity. And you also need a constant Voltage source for charging your phone. This constant Voltage source is the car charger.

The charger here does some functions:

• Regulating charging voltage and current
• Voltage step up or Voltage step down. ( here I used a 6 Volt Solar panel - so I used the charger as a voltage step down circuit )

Step 1: Components and Tools

Here are the components and tools you are going to need:

Components

Solar Panel ( I had a 1.5 watt solar panel win 6 volt output ) ---- > Amazon or eBay, Aliexpress

Phone Charger for car ( I actually found this one but you can buy it ) ---- >Amazon US or eBay, Alixpress , Banggood , Amazon UK , Amazon DE , Amazon FR , Amazon CA , Amazon ES , Amazon IT

Some wires

Tools

Solder iron - to solder the wires into the solar panel ---- > Amazon or eBay ,Aliexpress

Solder Wire - to connect the wire into the solar panel ---- > Amazon or eBay ,Aliexpress

Screw Driver - I used it as a tool for opening the charger ---- > Amazon or eBay ,Aliexpress

Voltmeter - I used it to test the solar panel ----- > Amazon or eBay , Aliexpress

Crocodile Clips - They are the handy connectors that you can rely on for connecting stuff -- Amazon or eBay , Aliexpress

Step 2: Solder Wires Into Solar Panel and Open the Charger

I had a Solar Panel with no wires connected to it. So I had to solder the wires into the back of it with solder iron and solder wire.

I used the Voltmeter to test the Solar Panel. The output Voltage is 6 Volt. with no load.

Then I used the Screw Driver to open the car charger to get its circuit out.

The car charger normally gets its input power from the 12 Volt lighter outlet in the car dashboard to output 5 Volts used for phone charging.

The connector on both sides of the circuit have the negative terminal while the single terminal at the end is the positive one.

Step 3: Connect and Test It in the Sun

Connect the phone charger into the Solar Panel using the Crocodile Clips as the following :

• Positive terminal of the Solar Panel to the backward of the charger circuit.
• Negative terminal of the Solar Panel to one of the side connectors on the charger circuit.

Put it in the Sun and test it using the your phone and USB cable.

Note that this type of phone charging with direct sunlight and without any battery takes long time to charge your phone due to relatively small charging current.

But finally, it works. If you find yourself in a place where you don't have any Electricity with plenty of Sunshine, give this one a try.

How to make money with Amazon Associates Program

Amazon is a globally known and the biggest online store in the world.

The name is a mark by itself and you can never miss it unless you still be actually living in the Amazon forests.

For affiliate marketers, Amazon Associates comes as their first love and the one that many have earned a lot and also have learned a lot. 

The ease of set up, the elegance of reporting and the quickness of money earning make that program the best and the first option for affiliate marketers when they start as beginners.

Although it may seem to be a non profitable affiliate program for some, many professional marketers rely on it as their main source of income.


So why some marketers hate Amazon Associates?

Due to relatively small commission(sometime 4%), strict rules and conditions and you might find yourself out of the program without any cent. I myself have made a lot of money from this program and have been using it for years. Although I've tried many other affiliate programs from other retailers and stores, but I still have that hidden love for Amazon Associates Program.

So let's take a look at that program.

First, you need to have an Amazon Account.

You can have your customer account at Amazon at first and then apply for the affiliate program.

So if you don't already have an account, start by making one.

create amazon account or just login

Then scroll down to the bottom of the main page and click "Become an Affiliate"

Then press Join "Now for Free" button.

Then create affiliate account

You'll fill some information about address and about your website.

Then you can choose the payment method (Check, Wire Transfer or Amazon Gift Card)

Then fill in your Tax information or you can choose to complete that information later.

Congratulations, you are now an Amazon Affiliate.

You have the right and the full power to make referrals and affiliate links in your blog or website, once someone clicks one of your links and then buys anything within 24 hours of that click, you can get commission of that purchase.

This can be as much as 4 - 10% of that purchase. You can be referring something like a 10$ book and that guy who clicks your link later buys a 1000$ DJI Mavic Quadcopter. Then as a minimum you can get 40$ from this purchase.

Pretty awesome, right ?

There is something called Amazon Bounty program that where you can get fixed commission ranging from 2 to 10$ depending on the type of the bounty when someone make a certain subscription in one of Amazon services.

And many of these services are free.

For example, I can get 3$ when you read any book on Amazon Kindle Cloud Reader free service to read any Kindle book even if that book is totally free. You can try it yourself.
